Tracegrow introduces REDO-M®: Circular battery-grade manganese for Europe’s energy transition

Tracegrow has launched REDO-M®, a circular battery-grade manganese solution developed entirely from EU-sourced recycled feedstocks.

Oulu, Finland (6 November 2025)

As Europe’s rapidly growing battery industry faces near-total dependence on imported manganese, Tracegrow Oy has introduced REDO-M®, a circular battery-grade manganese solution produced entirely from EU-sourced recycled feedstocks.

Using its proprietary RETRACER™ process, Tracegrow recovers and purifies manganese from recycled alkaline batteries and industrial by-products to achieve battery-grade purity. Independent validation by the University of Oulu confirmed that the process consistently delivers manganese sulphate monohydrate at purity levels required by battery manufacturers.

“Europe currently imports almost all of its battery-grade manganese. REDO-M® demonstrates that we can close this gap with high-purity recycled material sourced and refined within the EU,” said Jaakko Nauha , CEO of Tracegrow. “Our approach combines resource security with verifiable sustainability.”

Nyt se vihdoin tapahtui! Me saimme myös suomenkieliset verkkosivut! Kotimaisena yrityksenä olemme luonnollisesti herättäneet mielenkiintoa Suomessa. Viimeisen muutaman vuoden aikana meidän tunnettavuutemme on kasvanut huomattavasti ja olemme saaneet lisääntyvissä määrin kyselyitä, kuten ”missä on meidän suomenkieliset sivut?” ja ”onko meillä mitään materiaalia suomeksi?”.

Nyt voimme vihdoin vastata, että tracegrow.fi on julkaistu ja siellä on saatavilla yrityksestä, tuotteista ja vastuullisuudestamme tietoa suomeksi. Samalla myös verkkosivumme saivat päivitetyn ilmeen, joka julkaistiin ensimmäisenä suomeksi. Sivustolta löytyy myös yritys – otsikon alla Tracegrow’n tarina ja tausta kerrottuna napakasti.

Syksyn aikana on myös tarkoitus lisätä sivustolle mm. 2023 vuoden viljelykoetuloksista uunituoretta materiaalia. Näistä kokeista onkin ollut jo hieman esitietoa meidän uutiskirjeissämme, sekä somessa. Tilaamalla uutiskirjeen itselleen, saat mukavasti tiivistettyä tietoa noin kerran kuussa omaan sähköpostiin maatalouden ja yrityksen ajankohtaisista tapahtumista. Mikäli tiedonnälkä on suurempi, kannattaa ottaa Tracegrow’n Instagram sivusto tracegrowfinland seurantaan. Sieltä löytyy ajankohtaista tietoa eri tapahtumiin osallistumisista sekä mm. viljelykokeista kuvia matkanvarrelta.

Ajatuksena on, että suomenkielisiltä verkkosivuilta löytyy tuotteiden esitteiden lisäksi myös käyttöohjeet, tankkiseostaulukot, sekä viljelykoetulokset ja laajemmat dokumentit, kuten esimerkiksi kauran ravinnepeittauskokeiden tulokset, joista saatiin huimat 18 % sadonlisää.

Kaisa Hietala Chairman of the Board of Tracegrow has been appointed to the Board of Rio Tinto as a non-executive director. Ms Hietala will join the Board on 1 March 2023.

Ms Hietala is an experienced executive with a strong track record of helping companies transform the challenges of environmental megatrends into business opportunities and growth. An experienced non-executive director, Ms Hietala also serves on the Boards of Exxon Mobil and Smurfit Kappa Group, a global packaging company.
